Meet baby Ashley

Meet baby Ashley, nearly three years ago, she was rescued by local villagers and the Department of Wildlife after falling into an agricultural well The rangers tried to reconnect Ashley with her mother, but with no luck. She was then brought to Sri Lanka's Udawalawe Orphanage, and one of our followers has fostered her this entire time. It costs about $150 per month to support an orphaned elephant.

She has been hand fed for nearly three years, and after being weaned and acclimated to wild forage and browsing, she will be ready to be released back into nature. She will join along with other orphans making up a small herd that may naturally re-assimilate back with a Wild Herd#LOVE
